Unchangeable Love.

“…the overwhelming spread of evil will do them in - nothing left of their love but a mound of ashes…” -Matthew 24:12

Here’s a question or two: When evil and injustices occur in our lives, do we allow them to change how or if we love? What if nothing - no external influence - could change or stop the love that lives in us?

“I prayed to God that He would make me… into a rock which swallowed up the waves of wrong in its great caverns and never threw them back to swell the commotion of the angry sea whence they came. Ah, what it would be actually to annihilate wrong in this way - to be able to say, ‘It shall not be wrong against me, so utterly do I forgive it!’” - George MacDonald

This is the freedom of Unchangeable Love. This is the freedom His Spirit in us creates. This is the freedom of being united with a God who is Love, Unchangeable Love.

“Staying with it - that’s what God requires. Stay with it to the end. You won’t be sorry, and you’ll be saved…” -Matthew 24:13

Saved meaning alive in Love, in Him - and no longer a slave to our ever changing emotions and circumstances - instead, steady and unchangeable, just like Our God.
