Day 5. God’s Goodness. The Refining Fire.

Mark 9:49 (msg) Everyone is going through a refining fire sooner or later…

Now this, to me, is the miracle that blows my sails back every day; He uses the ugliness we create to refine us. He uses our ugliness and selfishness to melt our selfishness and evil away! - to bring us into His Glory.

I believe there is a hell. I don’t for one moment believe it is a pleasant place, filled with all that is sick and ugly and cruel and selfish, BUT! I believe the fires will turn us all to gold. God will never remove our free will; we can live our lives in hell as many days as we would like - and this includes our walk on this earth. We can live in the Light of God’s Love or we can choose darkness and self; that is our free will.

Lord, open our eyes so that we may see! Reveal who you are; set the world right! (Luke 11 msg) Amen.
